Vehicle Overview
This Factory Five Racing Mk3 Roadster is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 fitted with an Edelbrock carburetor, intake manifold, and cylinder heads as well as a Crane Cams Camshaft and MSD ignition. The fiberglass body is finished in matte silver with a matte black nose stripe and is further equipped with a Tremec T5 five-speed manual transmission, a Ford Racing clutch, and a narrowed 8.8? rear axle with a limited-slip differential as well as 17? Halibrand-style wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, Koni coilovers, rack-and-pinion steering, quick-jack bumperettes, and a single roll hoop. Inside, the heated bucket seats are upholstered in black leather and are joined by a wood-rimmed steering wheel, AutoMeter instrumentation, a battery cut-off switch, and a heater. The car was assembled under previous ownership between 2006 and 2007 and was acquired by the current owner in 2019. This MK3 Roadster is now offered on dealer consignment with an assembly manual, spare parts, build documents, and a clean California title in the current owner’s name listing the vehicle as 0000 SPNCS.
The fiberglass bodywork is finished in matte silver with a matte black nose stripe. Additional elements include quick-jack bumperettes, a hood scoop, a single roll hoop, fender vents, wind wings, a LeMans-style fuel filler cap, and side-exit exhaust pipes. A spare roll hoop and wind wings are included in the sale.
Halibrand-style 17? alloy wheels wear faux three-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with 245/45 front and 315/35 rear Sumitomo HTR tires. The car is equipped with adjustable Koni coilovers, tubular front lower control arms, and Flaming River rack-and-pinion steering. Braking is provided by Mustang Cobra—sourced calipers with Hawk brake pads and cross-drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners.
The heated low-back bucket seats are upholstered in black leather and are fitted with Simpson four-point harnesses for each occupant. The driver’s foot box is said to have been expanded, and a Russ Thompson turn signal switch has been installed. Additional equipment includes a fire extinguisher, a battery cutt-off switch, a cabin heater, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, and a trunk-mounted storage box. Spare door panels will accompany the vehicle, along with a Shell Valley fiberglass glovebox and wood door kit.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts AutoMeter instrumentation consisting of a reverse-sweep 180-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for monitoring oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, and voltage. The speedometer is said to read inaccurately. The five-digit odometer shows 5k miles, approximately 3,500 of which have been added during current ownership.
The 5.0-liter Ford V8 is fitted with an Edelbrock carburetor, intake manifold, water pump, fuel pump, timing components, and cylinder heads. A Crane Cams camshaft has also been installed along with MSD ignition components. An oil leak is noted. Spare cooling system, electrical, ignition, and exhaust components are included in the sale.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission, a Ford Racing clutch, and a narrowed 8.8? rear axle with a limited-slip differential and a 3.55:1 ring and pinion.
A collection of build records, receipts, and an assembly manual are included in the sale.
The California BAR sticker is shown above and lists the car as a 2007 SPCN Cobra. The California title uses the assigned VIN CA968549 and lists the model year as “0000” and the make as “SPCNS”.
